Sankranthi 2012 is going to be very crowded at Telugu cinema box-office with many films announced their release dates during that period. Venkatesh's Bodyguard now joins the competition. The film was originally scheduled for late November/early December has now been postponed to January 12, 2012.
Although the film has been completed except for one song, producer Bellamkonda wants the movie to be released during the Sankranthi festival as it fetches good openings.
"We are planning to release the music in the month of December and release the movie on January 12, 2012. Music by Taman has come out so well and we are confident of the move's super success," producer Bellamkonda said.
